This just confirmed my beliefs that they just want my money.
First of all it should not be THAT BIG of a deal to change my starting date to August instead of next week after I had originally said that I wanted to start in August. His tone suddenly changed as soon as I said I wanted to push it back.
Second of all, do not bring up how my parents are paying 30 grand per year for my brother’s school and not for mine. That really offended me. Do you think I’m retarded? Do you really think it didn’t hurt my feelings at first? I KNOW THAT THEY COULD ONLY AFFORD FOR ONE OF US TO GO TO A BIG SCHOOL AND HE BEAT ME TO IT, so what?
Third, do not threaten me with “Oh, well..the acceptance committee might think that you are serious about coming here if you want to wait until August.” If you guys really cared about me and REALLY thought I was “talented” then you guys would let me back in. If that’s the case, so be it, it’s not like you are my only option.
Fourth, do not insult me for going to a community college. I highly respect community colleges because they provide an affordable education for people that need it. “Well, this isn’t like a COMMUNITY COLLEGE where you can just drop out or switch out whenever you want.”
So many things he shouldn’t have said. I WAS going to go back to this school in August until I had this conversation. NO MORE.
